Locking Down Your NextGen System from the Inside Out
Weak access control leaves your data and systems susceptible to unauthorized access from both external and internal threats. Hackers, viruses, worms, ransomware, and spyware are only a few things that may do harm to your computer, network, and in some cases, your practice’s reputation. However, it is not just malicious actors, either; your own employees can accidentally and unwittingly sabotage systems or create a breach by accessing data that should have been locked down. While our industry often focuses on the image of an unknown hacker lurking in the shadows of cyberspace, the reality is that threats from inside your network are by far the greater problem in data security.
In this educational webinar, we focus on ways to lock down practice data by patient, encounter, templates, and even document types in NextGen. We also demonstrate how to lock down your system and restrict access without creating separate practices within your NextGen environment. Our goal is to make sure you are aware of external threats, and how to take action to lock down your system internally, focusing on NextGen-specific ways to limit access to help protect your practice, patients, and remote employees safe from data breaches.
